Ever since I set up the home office as a mini-studio, newborns have been one of my favorite subjects to photograph. This couple was a pleasure to meet, and I hope I’ll be able to photograph this little one as she grows up. It’s clients like these that really make it all worth while.
Details are one of the most important things to capture in a newborn session, from my perspective. How else are you going to remember just how tiny their fingers and toes were, and how their baby face looked? Because my photography is all about telling the whole story, I capture newborns from a variety of angles. I just love this precious close-up of her face. Check out those lashes!
Of course, to add some spice and variety, I love it when I get a chance to use my cute handmade newborn props. This hat strikes the perfect balance for me of definitely feminine without being all pink and sparkles. I have a blue/green version without flowers for gender neutral or boys, both courtesy of Precious Little Baby on Etsy.
