I was approached a few weeks ago by a woman who is looking to close a chapter in her life and move on to the next chapter. She asked me to help her create photographic art inspired by her rock solid relationship with her 8-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog, Leela. We did our first session in Lake Oswego, Oregon, with Leela. The goal was to illustrate how close their relationship is, and how much they can lean on each other in difficult times.
Together, over the course of two sessions, we will be doing a magazine-inspired photo series that will ultimately create an album that illustrates her journey moving into this new chapter of her life. She wants to explore things that have made her happy throughout life, going all the way back to being a little girl playing on the swingset. She also wants to celebrate the things that she has to hold onto going forward, including a newfound passion for writing. We did a series of writing photos at Chuck’s Place, where we enjoyed the quaint atmosphere and delicious tea. – Thanks to Lisa @ Chuck’s Place for letting us use your beautiful space!
I feel so honored to be a part of her story, and I can’t wait to share the next chapter.
