Newborn Story Sessions
What is the importance of a newborn session?
A few years from now, your child will be amazed and delighted–and perhaps a bit confused–when they first see a picture of themself as a newborn. “That’s me?” they might say, looking at their peaceful, tiny former self. “Yes, that’s you. Look at how your tiny head used to fit into the palm of my hand…” You’ll say. You’re only at the very beginning of your child’s life. There’s a lot of story ahead of you, waiting to be cherished. With a personalized custom designed album of professional, artistic newborn photos, you’ll help them to be able to tell their story.
The reality is that there is an extremely short window of time for capturing newborn photos. What looks easy — photographing a sleeping baby — actually takes hours of patient work and the experience. Serra has invested countless hours into learning just how to help them relax and rest peacefully for their photos, and how to position them in a safe way that results in the best angles for your photographic art.
During this literal once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, don’t rely on your smartphone’s camera. This is a momentous occasion — the birth of your child! Make sure you’ve hired someone who can represent the magic and beauty of this new life.
You’re busy being a parent. You don’t have time to be the photographer, too. Call us. We’ll make sure you get the most beautiful, captivating photos of your newborn that will never go out of style. And meanwhile you can relax in the studio, both hands free. Kick back, and grab a snack, even close your eyes for a moment if you like… We won’t tell 🙂
You have a story to tell. Your child’s story is just beginning. Let us help you tell it.
“Our maternity session was the first time we had professional photos taken. My husband was reluctant, as he is not comfortable in front of a camera. I mentioned this to Serra prior to our shoot and she let us know that her goal with her work is for clients to feel comfortable and at ease. Afterwards my husband and I were talking about how it just felt like a fun afternoon in the park, and not like we were getting our photos taken. They turned out great! We look like ourselves, and the photos are amazing.”
